What we are Loving Lately

Hi!!  Remember me?!

I know, I know.. It’s been entirely too long!!  Hoping to change that since this space has always been something that truly lights-me-up inside #sparkle

So, in honor of Valentine’s Day I figured why not share a few things that I/we (Nikola Fam) love since we welcomed 2021 with open arms!!! #peaceout2020

Peloton App:

For my mamas who’ve been following me quite some time now, you know fitness has played an important part in my life.  The Peloton App has many types of workouts for all fitness levels.  Besides cycling (my favorite instructors are Cody and Robin), I’ve been doing some lifting (Jess Sims) and yoga (love Adithi) and it’s a perfect retreat when the kiddies go to sleep.  The Hubs is pretty obsessed with it too (he may love Cody just as much as I do).

Crystals:

After receiving a smokey quartz from a girlfriend this past summer, I have to tell you- I’m a believer in the power of crystals!  I’m still learning about them and I created a Pinterest board here filled with lots info.  So far, my absolute favorites are Smokey Quartz (relief of tension and promotes strength), Citrine (attracts wealth, support self-confidence and creativity).  Lepidolite (reduces stress and depression. Stabilizes mood swings, soothes the nervous system, and strengthens the immune system.)

Our home:

This winter marks 10 years since we moved into our home.  Between being confined to it for months plus letting “decade” sink-in, The Hubs and I decided we wanted to make some small upgrades to make it feel more like a retreat.  So far, we’ve repainted three rooms (using Sherwin Williams), changed the decor in Sophia’s bathroom (her bedroom is next, as per her request), our bedding (yes, I now have white bedding and it’s been stain free for 2 months #win) changed a few light fixtures and bulb types..PS- it’s amazing how the color of a bulb can transform a room. We are also making the downstairs family room more functional.  I’ll be documenting it over on Insta, so check it out!

Mercari:

This online marketplace is awesome!!!  I’ve tried Ebay and Poshmark and never had much luck selling anything.  Within a ten days,  I’ve sold seven items and listed over ten.  What I love most about it- it’s so user-friendly; doesn’t take much time to list an item, plus it’s easy to calculate the shipping.

Vitamin C Please:

My skin has been rocked by having to wear a mask 5 days per week, 8 hours a day.  Between the winter months + mask wearing, I’ve had to play around with my skincare regimen to meet its demanding needs..lol.. After getting a facial recently, I was told my skin is hydrated (woohoo- thank you EVER), and the key to eliminating dark spots is to exfoliate often (I wasn’t as much as I should) and incorporate a Vitamin C serum.  This little bottle here is my favorite product at the moment.. My skin feels absolutely delightful, plus it’s brightening, firming, and protected! 

Gluten Free Oreo:

Enough said!  This girl is living her best life!  We’ve gotten creative with what we can make with them,  too.  An Oreo Milkshake is a family fave! Check out my IG reel to see how we make it!
