I have to apologize to my readers for not posting my weekly “What.We.Wore.Wednesday” entry. Believe it or not, I have a pretty sad/unthinkable/scary/nerve-racking/eye opening but necessary excuse.
Andrew and I met with a lawyer to draft
Our……….Gulp…
Will!
Ohh.eemmm.geeee.
This was one of the most uncomfortable situations I’ve been into in quite some time.
We “thought” we were prepared for the questions:
“What happens to Sophia if you two pass?”
“Who’s the executor?”
But I almost fell off my chair when asked, “What would you like to do with your estate if you pass, Sophia passes then Andrew passes?”
Umm.. Sophia passing?!?! Excuse me?!?!
I wasn’t thinking about that AT ALL.. I was prepared to talk about me passing but not my baby girl! Ugh.. chills just writing that!!
Andrew was bothered by the “pulling the plug” question. When I asked him “why?” he said, “I don’t even want to talk about it..” Man of many words.. Thanks babe 😉
Anyway, the whole process took about 30 minutes and the draft will be mailed to us soon.
After speaking to a dear friend of mine about this “experience” she reassured me that we did the right thing by creating one so early.
She’s absolutely right!
We’re not looking at it as, “If something happens to us” we’re making sure that our baby girl is in good hands.
Ugh.. Chills.. I’m done!
Here’s a link to learn more about why every parent needs a will.
Have to take care of our baby love! |
BTW- Since there’s a blizzard coming tomorrow, stay tuned for some fashion posts, starring Miss Sophia and possibly yours truly. 😉

I've been telling Mike that we need to do this for some time now. Glad I'm not the only one who thought so. Scary but necessary! Thanks for posting!
