Besides giving Sophia kisses, my lips have been pretty…..
(insert silly comment here)
“Pretty” thanks to some fun lipsticks!
Within the last few months, I’ve started a collection of fun lipstick colors. Most of them are purchased after checking out the sales flyer at the local CVS or Rite Aid. Whoop Whoop!
I wasn’t much of a lipstick/gloss wearin’ gal but I couldn’t help but notice the bold and beautiful colors that are trending this spring/summer season (thank you Pinterest, Ivory Lane, Pink Peonies.)
I decided to give it a shot and purchase my first bold lip color, L’Oreal’s Colour Riche, “Velvety Fuchsia.” I put it on as soon as I got into my car, and fell in love! (Yes, I was “that girl” you see at a stop light, looking at herself in the mirror, smacking her lips..Mwahhh!)
Below are pictures of four lip colors I’ve been wearing recently.
Maybelline Color Sensational 20 Pink & Proper This color wears the longest out of the four. It has a beautiful shine and it’s not too bold. It’s a very wearable color. |
Sephora Collection Rouge Shine Most “pretty” and natural looking color. It has a more matted feel than any of the other colors This is Sephora’s top selling lipcolor, I can see why! |
Price range $7.50 – $12.00 |

*When wearing a bold lip color- make sure your eye makeup is light/neutral. You don’t want to take away from your lips or look like a hot mess 😉
*Don’t think you need to “match” your lip color with your shirt. Mix it up!
*If your lips are chapped- drink more water. Chapped lips means you’re dehydrated (learned that from my OB.)
Bold or neutrals, what do you prefer?
